Tiger Shop's 50% Off SALE!

So here's the big blogger reveal, are you ready?

Sadie and I (Kristin) have been happily administrating the HOV blog for nearly a year now. We've been stocking up ye olde Tiger Shop vintage for nearly 2 years. (holy cow, time flies!). The time has come to say goodbye. We're both moving on to different states but still carrying our passion for clothes, style and fashion with us like a torch. Sadie's continuing on her online etsy shop in California, sadieDELUXE. Kristin's off Parsons in New York City to make some fancy duds.

In celebration we've decided to have a big BIG SALE. Most everything is 30% to 50% off! Everything must go! Time to liquidate the goods to welcome in the new.

Thanks everyone! It's been a blast.

The Living Threads - Men's Vintage in Portland

Some of you may or may not have noticed one of the best menswear sections at HOV, space #47 - The Living Threads. Travis runs this spot which is always clean and well-organized, and provides a killer selection of vintage menswear. GUYS - if you are looking for cool vintage gear, STOP BY HERE. We all know that sometimes it can be a challenge to find quality vintage clothing for men, especially in the sea of women's clothing that seems to often take over.

Travis also plays music - check it out: Convenient Noise.

Vendor Profile - 48

Wanted to showcase this lovely space from Christine at number 48. She's got a little bit of everything that you'd want, and everything is well-lit and sparkling clean. Christine was a bit camera-shy, but I promise you she's adorable, and her space is worth spending some serious quality time in. Check it out!!

Dealer #17 Dressforms GALORE!

I walked through the store to day and was blown away by the number of amazing dress forms in store from dealer #17 from $70-195. What lucky clothing designer or interior decorator will be the fine recipient of these babies?

New Dealer Profile-#22

Welcome new dealers Eric and Matt in space #22. I found them putting a fresh coat of paint on a forgotten corner of the store. They are sure to revitalize what was unused space. I love the color, fellas!

They'll be carrying all sorts of vintage gear, clothes and goodies from decades past. Can't wait to get dibs on some cool stuff. Come check out their new space.

Dealer #35 - Clint and The New Independents

Meet Clint, possibly the nicest guy on the block. He has space #35 (go in the West door, and it's about 50 feet in on your left). His space is super-delicious-vintage-deluxe, and remarkably cozy. (If I hadn't had more errands to run, I would have likely holed up in his spot and taken my afternoon siesta.)

Featured item from Clint is this fabulous 50's, down-stuffed, pink couch. Straight from your grandma's parlor, right? As Clint says, this beauty is just waiting for the right pink person to come snag her up...for the killer price of $100.

And, it gets better! Clint has a band called The New Independents. You can find these guys at TheNewIndependents.com, or listen to them on their MySpace site. They play various shows around town (next show is March 21 at Golden Lanes in Goldendale, WA; and then they play Portland on March 28 at Cheers), and they will be playing at the Hawthorne Street Fair in August...this means you can shop at House of Vintage and hear The New Indpendents all in one sweet, summer trip.

Dealer #51: Reclaimed and Refurbished Furniture Pieces

Our very own Galen, manager and House guru-extraordinaire, refinishes and reupholsters the raddest vintage finds with the hottest shirtless cowboys I've ever seen. Take your kitsch or Western-themed room to the next level with these babies, a petite trash can and to-die-for raw rustic wood chair.

Also at Galen's space I scoped the coolest reclaimed wood benches by Al, an artist who featured at booth #51. Check out this cute little garden bench made from reclaimed wood.

And Al made this clever bench/table out of a reclaimed snowboard. Someone special is really going to love this one of a kind piece.

And remember, if you don't find these items it's because they got snatched up by a lucky, lucky customer. BUT! don't forget to ask about Galen and Al's latest creations at booth #51!
